Start-up Blocks @ RIPE

From 2014 until 2019, it was very easy to get multiple blocks of 1,024 IPv4 addresses – a /22 – from the RIPE NCC. Each member could have multiple accounts, called LIRs, and get a /22 for each one. 20,000 were distributed. Read more

APNIC’s board resolved that anyone whose APNIC-registered IPv4 addresses pre-date APNIC would need to become a member. They gave this small group until the start of 2023 to sign-up. Those who didn’t could lose their addresses. Read more
